SOW and Managed Teams
Instead of filling individual roles, you agree an outcome and a way of working. HCP One assembles a cross-functional team, provides delivery leadership, and runs it under governance you can see. Engagements are structured either as a statement of work with milestones and acceptance criteria, or as a managed pod with a stable team and an agreed cadence.
Who it is for
- Technology leaders with more roadmap than delivery capacity
- Programs that need a team started rather than a hiring plan approved
- Organizations without the internal leadership bandwidth to run another squad
What you receive
- An agreed scope, or an agreed pod shape and cadence
- Delivery leadership included, not billed as an extra body
- Milestones, acceptance criteria and change control where relevant
- Regular delivery reporting and governance

Approach
How the work runs
- 01
Discover
Understand the outcome, the constraints and the current state.
- 02
Assemble
Build the team around the work, with leadership from day one.
- 03
Deliver
Execute against the agreed plan with visible reporting.
- 04
Scale
Grow, reshape or wind down deliberately.
Fit
When this approach makes sense
Best fit
- The outcome can be described clearly enough to be scoped or planned
- You want accountability for delivery, not just people to manage
- The work is ongoing or large enough to justify a stable team
Consider another route when
- You need one specialist for a short period
- Requirements change so quickly that nothing can be agreed for a sprint
- You want to direct every individual yourself, day to day

Engagement models
Statement of work
A defined scope with agreed milestones, acceptance criteria and reporting.
Managed delivery pod
A led, cross-functional team that works as an extension of your organization.
Contract staffing
Specialist professionals engaged for a defined period through HCP One.
Quality controls
Delivery leadership included
A named lead is accountable for the team and the reporting, not an optional extra.
Explicit scope and change control
Change is agreed and recorded so that scope creep is visible early.
Governance you can see
An agreed cadence with a consistent reporting format from the first week.
Quality built into scope
Test approach and acceptance criteria are agreed as part of the work, not added later.
Continuity planning
Cross-skilling and documentation so that one departure does not stall delivery.
Security and access discipline
Access, environment and data handling requirements agreed before the team starts.
What to bring to a first conversation
- A clear business outcome and the constraints around it
- Access to technology and business owners for discovery
- Prioritization decisions and environment access
- Agreement on cadence, reporting format and escalation path
Engagements start with discovery. Team ramp depends on role mix, location and your access requirements, and we give a realistic view during discovery rather than a headline number.
Common questions
How is this different from staffing?
With staffing you hire people and manage them yourself. With a managed team you agree an outcome or a cadence, and HCP One supplies delivery leadership and is accountable for running the team against what was agreed.
Who owns the work product?
Ownership of deliverables and intellectual property is set out in the applicable agreement. Our standard expectation is that client work product belongs to the client.
How quickly can a pod start?
It depends on the roles, the locations and your access and security requirements. We give an honest ramp view during discovery rather than a standard number.
