GCC Services
A Global Capability Center, or GCC, is an offshore unit that belongs to the parent organization rather than to a supplier. HCP One helps design the center, recruits its leadership and teams, operates it against agreed service levels while it matures, and then transfers it. Transfer of people, processes, assets and operating knowledge is subject to the final agreements and applicable law.
Who it is for
- Organizations whose offshore spend keeps rising without capability being retained
- Technology leaders who want an owned engineering or data center in India
- Companies who want a presence in India but not the setup risk on day one
What you receive
- A readiness assessment and business case view
- Operating model, role architecture and workforce plan
- Leadership recruitment ahead of scale
- Operational management, governance and performance reporting

Approach
How the work runs
- Build
Build
Design the center, recruit its leadership and stand up operations.
- Operate
Operate
Run the center against agreed service levels while it matures.
- Transfer
Transfer
Hand over people, processes, assets and operating knowledge on an agreed timeline.
Fit
When this approach makes sense
Best fit
- The need is long term and the capability should end up under your control
- There is enough sustained work to justify a dedicated center
- You want India-based leadership accountable for the unit
Consider another route when
- The requirement is short term or a single project
- The work has not yet been proven offshore at any scale
- The volume is too small to sustain leadership and support functions

Engagement models
Build, Operate, Transfer
HCP One builds and runs an India capability center, then transfers it to you.
Managed delivery pod
A led, cross-functional team that works as an extension of your organization.
Advisory engagement
A scoped piece of thinking with a written deliverable.
Quality controls
Leadership before headcount
The center gets an owner before it gets scale, so culture and quality are set early.
Transfer planned at the start
Transfer triggers, documentation standards and dependencies are agreed in the build phase.
Documented operating knowledge
Process documentation is a standing deliverable, not a scramble at handover.
Retention planning
Engagement and retention practices designed so that the handover does not reset progress.
Advisers stay in the loop
Entity, tax and employment matters are planned with your own legal and tax advisers, not asserted by us.
Security and access discipline
Access, data handling and security requirements agreed and operated within your controls.
What to bring to a first conversation
- The functions and capability you want the center to own
- Your legal, tax, security and data requirements
- A realistic view of sustained work volume
- An internal sponsor and a receiving owner for the eventual transfer
Every engagement starts with a readiness assessment. Nothing is committed until you have a scope, an operating model view and a transfer approach you are comfortable with.
Common questions
What exactly is a GCC?
A Global Capability Center is an offshore unit that performs work as part of the parent organization rather than as an outsourced supplier. It typically covers engineering, data, security, enterprise platforms, support or business operations, and it is staffed and managed as an extension of the company.
Do we need our own legal entity in India?
The entity path depends on the model you choose and on your own legal and tax advice. Under a Build, Operate, Transfer arrangement the early phases can run without you establishing an entity immediately. Entity structure, timing and obligations are matters for your legal and tax advisers, and are reflected in the final agreements.
Who employs the team during the operate phase?
During the operate phase the team is engaged through the operating arrangement agreed with HCP One. Employment arrangements after transfer are defined in the final agreements and subject to applicable law.

Assess GCC readiness
Tell us what you are considering. The readiness assessment will tell you whether a capability center is the right move, and what would have to be true first.
Readiness
Start with an assessment, not a commitment
Before any build begins we work through whether a capability center is the right structure at all, or whether staffing or a managed team is the better first step.
