Approach
How the work runs
- 01
Requirement intake
We get specific about the work before we search for anyone.
- 02
Sourcing
Recruiters who work a defined technical domain run the search.
- 03
Screening and technical validation
Evidence that the person has done the work, not read about it.
- 04
Verification
Checks completed as permitted by law and required by the client.
Fit
When this approach makes sense
Best fit
- The role is defined and the work is funded
- You have the leadership in place and need capacity or a specific skill
- Speed matters and you want a screened pipeline rather than a job board
Consider another route when
- You need an outcome delivered rather than people to manage
- The team does not exist yet and nobody would lead the individuals you hire
- The role is a board or C-suite appointment

Engagement models
Contract staffing
Specialist professionals engaged for a defined period through HCP One.
Contract to hire
Work together first, convert to permanent employment later.
Direct hire
Permanent placement into the client organization.
Managed delivery pod
A led, cross-functional team that works as an extension of your organization.
Quality controls
Domain recruiters
Requirements are worked by recruiters who cover that technical domain rather than a general desk.
Technical validation
Screening tests evidence of doing the work, sized to the seniority and discipline of the role.
Right-to-work verification
Completed for every placement in line with the law of the relevant jurisdiction.
Background screening
Arranged where the client requires it and the law permits it. We do not claim certifications we do not hold.
Submission standard
Every submission carries written notes, including gaps against the brief.
Continuity planning
Extension and conversion conversations happen before contracts run out, not after.
What to bring to a first conversation
- A complete role brief and a named hiring manager
- Rate or salary range and the approval path
- Interview availability and prompt feedback
- Verification requirements and any client-site access rules
Work can begin as soon as the requirement is agreed and the supplier arrangement is in place. Actual start dates depend on candidate notice periods and any verification requirements.
Common questions
How quickly can you submit candidates?
For well-defined roles where the market has supply, submissions typically move quickly once the intake is complete. Scarce skills and constrained locations take longer, and we will say so at intake rather than after two weeks of silence.
What is the difference between contract, contract to hire and direct hire?
Contract means the professional is engaged through HCP One for a defined period. Contract to hire starts the same way with the intent to convert to your payroll later. Direct hire means you employ the person from day one. The comparison table on this page sets out when each fits.
Do you handle payroll, compliance and timesheets for contractors?
Yes. For contract professionals engaged through HCP One we handle contracting, onboarding, compliance and timesheet administration.
